Rep Kevin McCarthy on Supporting Israel: “The House will not Abstain from its Responsibility”

The House of Representatives plans on a resolution this Thursday condemning what Republicans and many Democrats are calling a direct attack against Israel by President Obama when he refused to veto UN resolution 2334 just before the holidays.

Late on Monday, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce, R-Calif., announced a floor vote would be set for Thursday on the resolution opposing the UN’s move.

“This administration has lost all credibility when it comes to Israel,” they said. “The administration’s stunt at the UN hurt our ally Israel and made peace in the region even more difficult to achieve. This Thursday, the House will not abstain from its responsibility and will vote on a bipartisan resolution reaffirming our longstanding policy in the region and support of Israel.”

This is considered to be the first of a volley of congressional push backs against Obama’s assault on Israel in the waning days of his presidency.

As reported yesterday, Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., plans to introduce a “sense of the Senate” which will issue a rebuke of the United Nations. Other senators like Lindsay Graham and Cruz are suggesting to defund the UN.

[watch] Journalist Rips Obama For Attacking Israel With Weeks To Go In The White House

Eli Lake has often times defended Obama’s moves with Israel. Now he is out front in slamming Obama and his attacks on Israel.  Watch the interview below:

Lake created a storm with his Tweet before Kerry’s speech

Lake’s column on Bloomberg has been unrelenting in its attacked on Obama and Kerry:

No longer bound by official restraints, Kerry said things in public that U.S. diplomats usually say only behind closed doors.

But Kerry’s speech in a deeper sense was that of a man trapped in the past. Like Republicans and Democrats since the Oslo Accords of the 1990s, Kerry is a prisoner of a peace process from a bygone time.

In this respect he is not alone. Since George H.W. Bush, U.S. presidents have pushed and prodded the two sides to agree that there should be two states for two peoples. Kerry’s speech hit familiar notes. Palestinians must end incitement. Israel must stop building settlements. Time is running out. Madeleine Albright, Bill Clinton’s second secretary of state, could have given the same speech in 1999.

But 2016 is not 1999. In the 1990s and the 2000s, the Middle East had plenty of problems. But its governments remained largely in charge, even after the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Back then the establishment view was that a two-state solution was the key to unlocking stability for the region. The late Israeli leader Shimon Peres used to call this the “new Middle East,” where collaboration replaced conflict. Arab allies would finally cooperate with the U.S. if the Palestinians and Israelis could just share Jerusalem.

Nobody believes this anymore. Today the Middle East is coming unglued. Syria is no longer much of a state at all. Wars rage in Iraq, Libya and Yemen. Iran is meddling. Russia has entered the region for the first time since the 1970s. The jihadist Islamic State has suffered setbacks, but it still has its caliphate in Raqqa. These conflicts are complex, but they have nothing to do with settlements in the West Bank.

With more and more Americans and a majority of Congress attacking Obama and his team over Israel, the final few weeks of his Presidency is creating everything, but a positive legacy.

[watch] Dershowitz: If Ellison Is Appointed Dnc Chair, I Will Resign My Democratic Party Membership

Image Source Alan Dershowitz: The Huntington

Friday on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings With Maria Bartiromo,” while discussing Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), who is under fire for his praise of the controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in light of his bid to become the Democratic National Committee chair, author and emeritus law professor at Harvard University Alan Dershowitz said if Ellison is elected, he would resign from the Democratic Party.

Dershowitz said, “If they now appoint Keith Ellison, who worked with Farrakhan, to be chairman of the DNC, you’re going to see a lot of people leave. I’m going to tell you right here on this show, and this is news, if they appoint Keith Ellison to be chairman of the Democratic party, I will resign my membership to the Democratic party after 50 years of being a loyal Democrat. I will still vote my conscience and mostly I will vote for Democrats, but I will not be a member of a party that represents itself through a chairman like Keith Ellison, and through policies, like that espoused by John Kerry and Barack Obama.”

The Democratic party remains fractured, with the Ellison camp desiring to take it farther to the left. If Dershowitz and others jump ship then the Democratic party would cease to be a vehicle for pro-Israel Liberal Jews. With Trump as President, this constituency would have no political home unless Trump is able to reach and draw them into a far larger Republican political party.

[watch] Kellyanne Conway: Trump Will Rebuild Relations With Israel

Trump spokewoman and counselor Kellyanne Conway tackled two foreign policy challenges the Obama administration created with incoming President-Elect Donald Trump.  Trump wants a different relationship Russia, but with Obama expelling Russian diplomats and operatives at a scale not seen dureing the coldwar, it will make Trump’s job that much harder.  In terms of Israel, Conway made it clear that Trump will be very different with the Jewish State.

New Zealanders Fight Back Over Their PM’s Support for Resolution 2334

In the wake of New Zealand taking a leading role in pushing through United Nations Security Council resolution 2334, which effectively makes it illegal for Jews to pray at their holiest site and blames only Israel for a lack of peace, 858 Jewish and non-Jewish New Zealanders and 27 kiwi organisations have signed the following letter to Rt. Hon. Bill English, Prime Minister of New Zealand.

29 December 2016

The Rt Hon Bill English
New Zealand Prime Minister
Parliament Buildings
Wellington

Dear Prime Minister,

Re New Zealand’s vote on UNSC resolution 2334

  1. We, the undersigned are New Zealand citizens and residents, Jewish and non- Jewish, with a spectrum of political views, who write to express our condemnation of United Nations Security Council resolution 2334 (“Resolution”), and particularly the New Zealand Government’s involvement in it.
  1. We note at the outset that our dismay at the Resolution does not express a view on the matter of all such Jewish settlements outside of the 1949 armistice lines.
  1. Our concern is that the Resolution is one-sided and continues the UN’s woeful record of rewriting history and delegitimising the Jewish state. It is also counter-productive; undermining, rather than enhancing, the chances of peace in this complex and long-standing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. It widens the chasm between both sides, instead of building a bridge.
  1. The UN is a deeply flawed institution whose inherent bias against Israel has been acknowledged by Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon, and indeed Minister McCully. The UN has no credibility as regards the question of Israel and the Palestinians. The UN has excoriated Israel at every opportunity, while ignoring the failings of the Palestinians. The Security Council, riven with incompetence and political agendas and has failed to address the greatest atrocity of our time in Syria. It is not the forum to resolve or provide a mechanism for resolution of a long-standing dispute between two parties, especially when one is Israel. Only those parties themselves can arrive at a resolution, through direct negotiations.
  1. However, there is now no incentive for the Palestinians to negotiate, because the outcome of any negotiations has been pre-determined. The Resolution has granted the Palestinians more than they have themselves sought, so that they cannot now accept less through negotiations without losing face. The Resolution has declared what is “occupied Palestinian territory”, being all land beyond the arbitrary 1949 armistice lines that resulted from a war initiated by the Arab states to eliminate the nascent Jewish state. This is land that Palestinians have never had sovereignty over, and that between 1949 and 1967 was occupied by Jordan. The Security Council has apparently enshrined a new principle of international law, that land acquired in a defensive war from an occupying power belongs to a third party who at the time of the war claimed no sovereignty over that land nor sought autonomy. It declares Jewish presence in these lands, a continual presence of thousands of years (except for the ethnic cleansing that occurred under Jordanian occupation) a ”flagrant violation of international law”. It therefore requires that these lands become Jew-free, while Arab Palestinians constitute 20% of Israel’s population and enjoy the full benefits of citizenship.
  1. The Resolution does not differentiate between the “blocs” and other settlements, although all previous negotiations and the Palestinians themselves have done so. It has decreed that East Jerusalem, which includes the Old City, is under “occupation” and consequently that some 200,000 Jewish East Jerusalem residents are illegal settlers. It is extremely disturbing and devastating that it makes it illegal for Jews to attend Hebrew University or to pray at their most holy site, the Western Wall, the heart of Judaism, to which Jews have physically and spiritually directed their prayers for thousands of years. By doing so, the Resolution imperils the shared and very special foundation of Judaism and Christianity. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is now also in “occupied Palestinian territory”.
  1. The Resolution rewards Palestinian intransigence, and incitement and glorification of terrorism. It does not hold the Palestinians to account for their corruption, human rights abuses and failures in developing the machinery of a democratic state and civic society. It ignores Israel’s previous settlement offers. It empowers boycott, divestment and sanction against Israel, a country that contributes so much to the world in terms of science, innovation, medicine, technology, humanitarianism, the arts, and counter-terrorism. It does not acknowledge the right of Jewish self- determination—indeed, its very premise violates that right. Settlements are blamed as the root cause of the failure to achieve a lasting resolution, rather than the continued Palestinian denial of sovereignty of the Jewish people over their indigenous homeland.
  1. We are ashamed of the role of New Zealand in this travesty and feel betrayed by our Government. New Zealand partnered with Malaysia, Senegal and Venezuela to sponsor the Resolution, countries which do not share our liberal Western values. The Resolution has been praised by Islamic Jihad and Hamas. This is nothing to be proud of. We believe Minister McCully has acted with questionable mandate and has for some time listened only to, and indeed gone so far as advocating for, one side. He has overturned long-standing New Zealand policy and ignored expert advice. He has yet again brought mockery and scorn upon this country and the Government. He has desperately, under urgency (on the eve of Christmas and Chanukah) and without transparency, sought to secure a legacy on the last day of the Security Council’s meeting during New Zealand’s term.
  1. He has indeed secured a legacy. However, it is one that has made the prospect of peace ever more distant for the reasons discussed above, and brought ignominy on New Zealand. It has caused opprobrium among international commentators, calls for boycotts of our goods by supporters of Israel around the world, and demands for an end to our burgeoning relationship with Israel, from which New Zealand has more to gain economically. This is even more distressing given the impending commemoration next year of 100 years since the ANZAC campaign in Beersheva, in which New Zealand played such a proud part in turning the tide of the war against the Ottoman Empire, and therefore a pivotal role in the establishment of Israel.
  1. Minister McCully has also disenfranchised many—until now—loyal National party supporters.
  1. As Prime Minister, we believe it is incumbent upon you to make a public statement on the Resolution and its implications.
We also request that you meet urgently with representatives of this group.

Yours sincerely,

BREAKING NEWS: Putin Retaliates for Ukraine’s Missile Violation

Just when you thought it was safe again, Putin is getting his sweet revenge for Ukraine’s missile test violation over Crimea.

UkrinForm a pro-Kiev Social Platform reports the following:

Militants launched 25 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the ATO zone in Donbas over the past day, the ATO press center reports.

In particular, in Mariupol direction, terrorists used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell Krasnohorivka and Talakovka. Also, militants fired on Marinka, using mortars, armored personnel carriers, air defense guns and large caliber machineguns.

In Donetsk direction, militants launched attacks on the Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka, using grenade launchers and large caliber machineguns.

In Luhansk direction, the Ukrainian troops in Novozvanivka came under 120mm and 82mm mortars attacks, while in Novooleksandrivka, Troitske and Krymske terrorists attacked the Ukrainian soldiers using grenade launchers of various systems. Terrorists also launched attacks on Stanitsa Luhanska.

Ignore the semantics used by the ATO to term rebels as terrorists and look at the bigger picture.  A NATO backed Ukraine fired missiles near Russian controlled Crimea expecting Putin to sit quiet. Putin never attacks direct.  His reaction is now clearly being felt in the war on Donbass as he has given the green light for a serious Russian backed rebel offensive.

BREAKING NEWS: Obama Gets a Push Back From Congress over his Drive to Create “Palestine”

On November 29th the US House of Representatives H.Con.Res.165 in a bid to stop Obama from using his waning days as President to force a “Palestinian” state on Israel. The resolution which is heading to the Senate states the following:

“Expressing the sense of Congress and reaffirming longstanding United States policy in support of a direct bilaterally negotiated settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and opposition to United Nations Security Council resolutions imposing a solution to the conflict.”

The resolution stands in direct opposition to the path that Obama appears to be moving towards as his Presidency comes to a close.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen from Florida speaking on the House floor regarding this resolution said the following:

“I wish that this resolution was not needed, but sadly, we know better.  The fact that we need to bring this up for debate and pass a resolution urging a United States administration to uphold long-standing U.S. policy as it relates to the peace process is telling and also disappointing … These next two months are going to be crucial for our friend and ally, the democratic and Jewish state of Israel … Israel is facing a constant barrage by Palestinians and their supporters at the United Nations …

Sadly, it has become clear over the past year that this administration may be looking to take unprecedented action — and in fact, we’ve heard that the administration has been seeking ways in which it could force the Israelis into making dangerous concessions … I have asked … nearly every administration official who has come before our Foreign Affairs Committee headed by Mr. Royce and Mr. Engel if President Obama will uphold long-standing U.S. policy and will veto any Security Council resolution related to Israel, and each one has evaded the question, refusing to reaffirm this long-standing, unambiguous, non-controversial policy.

Any short-term achievement that an imposed solution will bring will be far outweighed by the long-term damage it will cause … Any action … aimed at forcing unilateral solutions … will be detrimental to the prospects of peace, and it would harm both Israelis and the Palestinians … true peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians can only come by direct, bilateral negotiations between them.”

Next move is Obama’s.

ISIS in Ohio State…Beginning of a Terror Wave?

With today’s terror attack in Ohio St. we can cleary state that the refugee rettlement program has turned deadly. As the main stream media and police vacilate over whether or not to call the actions of 18-year-old Abdul Artan a terrorist attack, it is clear to anyone with even semi clear vision that plowing one’s car into pedestrians and then jumping out to stab whoever did not get knocked down is without a doubt a terror attack.

Attacker Dead on Street Source: Gateway Pundit/OSU Student
Attacker Dead on Street Source: Gateway Pundit/OSU Student

Abdul Artan was a Somali refugee who left his East Africa with his family in 2007.  He lived in Pakistan and then in 2014 came to the United States as a legal permanent resident.

“This car just swerved and ran into a whole group of people,” said Nicole Kreinbrink, who was walking nearby. “All these people were running and screaming and yelling,” Kreinbrink added.

“I heard someone yell, ‘He’s got a knife.’ And I saw a guy with a big-ass knife just chasing people around. When I saw that, I grabbed all my stuff and started running,” said Jacob Bowers an OSU sophmore.

So far there has been 9 wounded from the attack with police shooting Artan dead.

Are There More Attacks to Come?

The answer is yes. Now that Trump has won, the massive migrant infiltrations into the USA will reveal the thousands upon thousands of Jihadsts that were embedded among them. The purpose of continued attacks is to force a Trump administration to overreact thus encouraging more Jihad. This is the cycle that fits perfectly into the ISIS playbook.

Similar to Israel’s Knife Intifada of Last Year

The attack mimics the car ramming and knifing attacks that were prevelant in Israel last year.  Whether this sort of tactic is being carried over to Americais not clear.  Americans are primarily not prepared for this sort of combat.  Time to consider building the sort of barriers Israel has in public places.

Trump and the Ayatollah: Who Will Flinch First?

There is less than 60 days until Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States of America and the Ayatollah has already threatened the United States with retaliation due to the House of Representatives renewing the Iran Sanctions Act for 10 years.  Given the fact that this act was not actually part of the final agreement between the Obama Administration and Iran, it is hard to understand why the Ayatollah is so bent out of shape.

To understand why Iran is already making threatening gestures one must look into how far-reaching the shift will be in America’s foreign policy after Jan. 20th.  Let’s assume for a second that the worst happens and Mitt Romney is selected as Secretary of State.  Even Romney is fully opposed to the Iran deal and believes America should take down the Ayatollahs.  It’s true that Romney is equally antagonistic towards Russia, but isolating the Iran policy by itself and considering this is the best they can hope for, the Persian predicament is still pretty bad.  Now let’s assume Trump goes with a Bolton or Rudy Gulliani, then Iran will be looking down the barrel of a gun.

Given Donald Trump’s view of the world, where Russia becomes a force to be dealt with directly then the bad actor is none other than Iran, exactly the way it is now. For the Donald everyone else is rightfully just trying to do the best for their country (save for Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and a few others) and so in a simple, but realistic way those countries that cannot abide by any deal are bad actors meant to be isolated.

Iran is ratcheting up the pressure now in order to make it clear to the new President that it must be taken seriously and all agreements be adhered to. With General Flynn acting as Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser, Nikki Haley now the Ambassador to be at the UN, and a Secretary of State that would love to see a hard-line drawn on the Mullah’s, Iran has little chance to convince Donald Trump to back down.

The only question is, what will Iran do when there is no deal to hold them to?

Hillary’s Back (and Jill Stein Also?) In the Set Up to Chaos

Well if you thought this was over, the recount effort pushed forward by Jill Stein in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania is picking up steam and money as well.  Hillary Clinton’s camp has taken notice and decided its time put their weight behind the effort.

“We do so fully aware that the number of votes separating Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the closest of these states — Michigan — well exceeds the largest margin ever overcome in a recount,“ Marc Elias of the Clinton Camp said. “But regardless of the potential to change the outcome in any of the states, we feel it is important, on principle, to ensure our campaign is legally represented in any court proceedings and represented on the ground in order to monitor the recount process itself.”

Meaning, Hillary Clinton fully understands that any recount effort will not hand her the presidency, but will create chaos and further division in an already divided country.

With the recount already in the works for Wisconsin, backers of both Clinton and Stein plan on renewing their push for the other key battleground states.  Although as Elias says, there is little chance the recounts could hand Clinton the victory, anything is possible.  Afterall there has been tampering in the past and with Trump trailing by 2 million in the popular vote there will be tremendous pressure from outside groups.

Jill Stein has already raised more than $5 million in her campaign for recounts.  Now that Hillary’s team is onboard expect chaos if any of these states flip over.

First the Chaos, Then the Pusch

With recounts in the offing, Electors threatening to break and vote against Donald Trump, and Soros funded Organizing for America being led by Obama, the left is bent on ripping apart America by using Donald Trump as the foil.

While it is true these efforts won’t change who is sworn in on Jan. 20th they will se the stage for an America in perpetual divide.  Actions the Trump administration will take to lead America to a better future will be challenged with the help of the media, but bother Obama and Clinton in open political war fare.  Expect protests on a constant basis and violent riots when necessary.

By 2020, either the left wins the election or they pull the country apart trying.

How Can Trump Battle Back?

The first thing President-Elect Trump must do is not get caught up in each attack and play aloof.  He must show quick movement on his 100 day plan now that both houses of Congress will be with him.  Appointing a very conservative justice will be key.

If Trump can come through quick then the Soros funded left will have far fewer numbers in support of their antics.
